ELLIE GRANT

The Magnificent Seed

The Magnificent Seed Extra Virgin Rapeseed Oil is grown, cold pressed in small batches, slowly settled, filtered and bottled on their farm in Shrewton, Wiltshire. The process protects the oil's naturally great taste and nutrition, from field to plate.

The cold pressed oil has half thesaturated fat  of olive oil and ten times the Omega 3. It is fantastic for roasting, frying, dressings and baking.

The oil is also sustainably produced - the part of the seed that is left over when they press makes an excellent animal feed that is high in protein. The Magnificent Seed team know which field every drop in your bottle comes from too!

KATIE SARGENT

Utta Nutta

Katie started making peanut butter in June 2013 in a cottage in Wiltshire when she couldn't find a peanut butter that tasted how she thought it deserved to taste. The peanut butters in the existing market were either full of environmentally damaging palm oil, sugar and additives or tasted of cardboard.

Katie set about making a peanut butter that existed of just two simple quality ingredients- Freshly roasted nuts & Himalayan Rose salt. Katie started selling at local markets and food fairs then shops became interested and the repeat orders just kept on coming. As Peanut butter started to take over the family home, Katie moved into a commercial kitchen, where she continues making her peanut butter in the traditional way- That's why it tastes so good! Her son George, who has grown up besides Utta Nutta is also now involved with the business.

MILLY BROUGHTON

BRAVE Chutney

Milly created BRAVE Chutney in her kitchen in Manningford Bohune back in 2021 during the pandemic after she was furloughed from her French teaching job. She had always made chutneys, jams and jellies for her family but realised there was a gap in the market for great tasting chutney in sexy packaging.

The first product, Hot Pear & Ginger Chutney, was inspired by a recipe handed down from Milly’s mum which used pears from an ancient pear tree. The fruit and vegetables used in BRAVE are nearly all locally sourced, grown in Milly’s garden or foraged from Wiltshire hedgerows. All of the products are vegan.  Milly now has five chutneys and a Sweet Chilli Jam in her range which are sold in farm shops, delis, cafes and pubs. She makes catering jars for local cafés and she makes limited edition, seasonal chutneys and jellies.

You can find BRAVE Chutney on Facebook & Instagram @bravechutney

Kate launched Spire Gin in 2018, working with Alex Seaton from Alexander Chocolate to create a beautiful gin inspired by the city’s beautiful Salisbury Cathedral spire and infused with natural lemon verbena; no sugar and no nasties.

Kate now creates her own range of six gins and one rum, produces bespoke gin for private and business clients as well as running a Tasting Room for guests to enjoy an evening of great quality gin!

FAYE CAMPBELL

Foxglove & Freesia

Faye Campbell is the owner/creator of Foxglove and Freesia, based in Kington St Michael, Chippenham.

Her business began during the first lockdown in 2020, creating teacup bird feeders and bird baths for the garden. As summer ended, she adapted her business to make things for the home and garden.

The use of locally sourced wood and clay often features in her creations, with her most popular item by far being her range of plantable wildflower seed gift tags that are used on our gift boxes. The idea of these is that once used, the tags packed with seeds can be planted, and over time the clay breaks down, allowing the flowers to grow.

JAMES HAMMAN

Jim's Bricks

A couple of years ago James (Jim) wanted to make the switch to solid bars in the shower to get rid of the wasteful plastic bottles and use a much more natural product. After struggling to find one he liked, he decided to make one himself and he liked it so much he thought other men would too and so Jim's Bricks was born!

Launched in November 2020, Jim’s Bricks currently sells shampoo and shower bars in two scents: Lime and Lemongrass and Mint and Tea Tree.  An unscented bar, the Bare, is available too.

The bars are plastic, palm oil and sulphate free.  They contain all natural ingredients and the scents are from essential oils only with no perfumes or fragrances used.  They are also cruelty free and suitable for vegans.  Handmade by Jim in his workshop at home in Malmesbury.
